Value Engineering

During the design & delivery stages of our project, we identified and implemented the following value engineering and effciency ideas:

• Reuse of 15000 ton of spoil generated from the track excavation within embankment for the cycle paths under paragraph 19 from SEPA.
• Worked with Fife Council to ensure that their follow – on projects linked with the active travel network being designed by Network Raiul. This resulted in 150m of duplicated paths being removed from scope resulting in a 95k saving.

The Story Way

Our site team partnered with Methilhill Community Childrens Inititaive to create a new sensory garden, designed as a space for learning, play, and growth, contributed to by over 100 hours of volunteering. The team carefully designed and built a space that stimulates all five senses, featuring a bug hotel, sensory boards, and edible fruit plants.

An opening ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the garden, with the children participating in adding the finishing touches.
