Works complete at Tulla Water

2nd September 2020

Project Story Scotland

Our Story Scotland team have successfully completed works at Tulla Water on a bridge refurbishment and scour protection works on behalf of Network Rail.

A logistically challenging project; the site was located 10 miles from the Bridge of Orchy Station and due to the remote location, the team had to access the structure by using an innovative road rail vehicle personnel carrier, in addition to setting up a satellite compound and working areas to facilitate works. The project also utilised machinery and operatives from our Plant division, including the Colmar T10000 RRV pictured.

Despite the difficult weather and midge conditions, the team successfully delivered the scheme over a 12-week period, safely, within programme, and to budget.

Christina Thomson, Scheme Project Manager, Network Rail, said: “Thanks to all team for the good job undertaken at Tulla Water.”
