Story awarded Ministry of Defence Silver Award

Story has been acknowledged at the Lord – Lieutenant of Cumbria and UK Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Awards.
Senior Project Manager Dan Smithson, a former Royal Engineer, collected the award on behalf of Story at the ceremony.
Simon Higgens, Business Development Director, leads our commitment to the Armed Forces and was instrumental in us signing the Armed Forces Covenant. He said: ‘I’m delighted our work to welcome and support ex-Armed Forces has been recognised through the award of Silver in the MOD’s Employee Recognition Scheme.
“From recruiting Service Leavers into the business, providing work placements for students from the Royal School of Military Engineering, to supporting military organisations and charities, Story is committed to supporting the military community.”
As one of only a few organisations in Cumbria to be awarded Silver, Story has aspirations to apply for Gold accreditation next year.
