As part of our bridge replacement project for Nexus at Killingworth Road, we have been required to remove ornate parapets from the existing bridge structure.

After removing the 150-year-old parapet from the bridge, they have now been donated to the local Stephenson Railway Museum where they will be cleaned, refurbished and installed on the rear of an existing platform which is set up at the museum.
