The Story Contracting Geo-Technical and Ground Investigation (GI) team have secured membership to the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS).

The membership is the latest string in the bow for the GI team, who were brought into the business last year to drive efficiencies within Story’s in-house design and build portfolio, as well as providing external services to clients and design partners.

The team have a growing portfolio of projects across the country, from working in Scotland’s second busiest train station, to improving accessibility in a Manchester train station. Together with the project teams, they bring resilience by getting works right from their very inception.

Ian Purdham, Managing Director for Rail England said: “In line with our business mantra of “Do it Right”, we are delighted that our GI team have secured membership of the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists which allows our GI team to be recognised for the quality of practice they bring to Story and the industry.

“This further establishes Story GI in the market and allows us to progress the growth of external work for our key clients.”
